Daniel Felizzatto
Daniel has worked for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office since 1997. He currently serves as the Special Assistant District Attorney in the LADA’s Sacramento Legislative Unit. Prior to his assignment to the Legislative Unit, he worked as a trial deputy in Los Angeles where he prosecuted domestic violence cases, drug prosecutions, gang crimes, illegal weapons offenses and a variety of other felony and misdemeanor crimes. Dan has served the majority of the past 18 years in the Sacramento Legislative Office. He has over 32 years of experience working with the state legislature and Governor’s Office. Prior to becoming a DDA, Dan worked as a Capitol Director in the California State Assembly and as a deputy legislative secretary and public safety advisor in the Governor’s Office.
In addition, Dan is actively involved in the victim’s rights movement. He previously served on the advisory boards of the Doris Tate Crime Victims Bureau and Crime Victims United of California. Currently he serves on the Executive Board of the Crime Victims Alliance, the Crime Victims Assistance Network and Citizens for Law and Order. Daniel is also a member of the Advisory Board of the California Victim Compensation Board.
Dan grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended City College of San Francisco and San Jose State University where he graduated with Highest Honors with a B.A. in Political Science (Public Policy Emphasis) and a B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Davis King Hall School of Law.
Dan is also a former Jesse Unruh Assembly Fellow and is a Governor’s appointee to the California Italian-American Task Force.
