Erin Sasse

Erin Sasse has more than 20 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, and external relations. She currently serves as the Director of Government Affairs for the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD), where she leads the District's state and federal advocacy efforts, working with legislators, regulatory agencies, and industry partners to advance policies that support reliable, affordable water and wastewater services.

Erin began her career in public service working for several members of the California State Assembly, serving in both Sacramento and the Inland Empire. She later joined Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's administration and campaign team, representing San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego, and Imperial counties in various political and governmental roles.

Following Governor Schwarzenegger's re-election, Erin returned to Sacramento as the Assistant Director of Legislative Affairs and Outreach for the California State Lottery Commission. She later served as Chief of External Affairs for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation under both the Schwarzenegger and Brown administrations, where she led statewide stakeholder engagement and outreach.

After returning to Southern California, Erin joined the League of California Cities, where she served for more than 11 years as the Regional Public Affairs Manager for Riverside County. In that role, she worked closely with the county's 27 member cities, providing legislative advocacy, policy analysis, education, and strategic support on a wide range of local government issues.

Throughout her career, Erin has worked extensively at the local, state, and federal levels of government, building strong relationships and advocating on behalf of public agencies and the communities they serve.

A native of Rancho Cucamonga, Erin earned her bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis. She now resides in Riverside with her husband and their dog, Eleven.
