Michael Ramos
For sixteen years, he served as District Attorney for San Bernardino County, California, leading more than 500 employees and managing a $90 million budget while championing justice in the largest county in the United States. A former President of both the California District Attorneys Association and the National District Attorneys Association, he is widely respected for his integrity, ethical leadership, and decisive crisis management—most notably in the aftermath of the December 2nd terrorist attack, where he worked closely with federal partners to ensure victims and families received essential care and support. Throughout his career, he completed more than 125 major-crimes jury trials; established innovative prevention and intervention programs for youth; led nationally recognized efforts against gangs and human trafficking; and helped drive landmark legislation such as SB 813 and Proposition 66 to protect victims and strengthen public safety. His leadership extends to numerous state and national roles, including gubernatorial appointments to the California Victims Compensation Board and the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission, as well as service on criminal justice and youth advocacy boards. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from UC Riverside and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Citrus Belt Law School.
